For me, this process has been one that has opened many new doors and questions as I have continued to research more about my topic. As I continue to delve deeper into my topic and learn more, I’ve come to realize that there’s no true answer or solution to the thesis I am researching. In terms of my written component, I have been working on designing a clear outline of everything I want to cover in my written component. Because there are so many facets to my topic, I have found it a little difficult to hone in on the most important components. I think once I talk to an expert on my topic I will be able to focus on everything I need to help others understand my central idea. Because my topic is one that carries so much controversy and complexity, I think having a conversation about it is vital to be being able to clearly convey my topic.
For my artifact, I think one of the best ways to convey the information is through a timeline. On this timeline, I want to show how the conversation about mental health has changed over the decades and how we talk about it now. I believe with this timeline I can illustrate how we have become numb and neglectful on the topic of mental health. With my artifact, I want people to be able to better comprehend the vitality of mental health and why it is so crucial to talk about. My idea for my artifact stemmed from Prezi; I enjoy the interactive and fluid component that comes with a Prezi. I hope to use similar formatting for my own artifact. I think because of the complexity and abstruseness of my topic, I have a long way to go before I feel as if I am in a secure place for my final product.
